The Crookston City Council will meet Monday, April 12 at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall. The consent agenda includes approving the March 22 meeting minutes; approving bills and disbursements totaling $492,619.23; approving plans and calling for bids on the 2021 locally funded street improvements; and approving plans and calling for bids on the 2021 federally funded street improvements.

The regular agenda includes approving a transfer of funds to CHEDA for the sale of 10 acres of land to the Ag Innovation Campus. There will be a second reading and final passage of an ordinance authorizing and establishing procedures for electronic participation in City Council meetings. The Council will approve two lease agreements, one of which is a cash farm lease with C & D Reitmeier Inc. for farming on the airport grounds through November 30, 2023. The second is a lease of the Crookston Sports Center for UMC programming for $50,000 a year through July 31, 2025, with a two percent increase in rent annually.

The City Council will also have a resolution to approving rezoning 334 Crescent Ave from industrial to residential as recommended by the Planning Commission. The final item is a resolution calling for a public hearing Monday, April 26 at 7 p.m. to discuss updating the City’s Wellhead Protection Plan for drinking water supply wells.
