Arrest/Fire Report – Monday, May 17, 2021

The Crookston Fire Department (CFD) responded to the following calls over the weekend –


At 9:00 a.m., the CFD responded to a call at the 200 block of Houston Ave for a gas smell. CFD investigated with a gas monitor and no danger was found. CFD ended up putting water in water traps in pipes and cleared the scene.

At 11:17 a.m., the CFD responded to the Parnell Township for a control burn that was getting out of control. CFD extinguished the fire, there was no other danger and cleared the scene.


At 11:00 a.m., the CFD responded to a call at the 100 block of Sargent St for a strange odor on the 2nd floor. Upon investigation, it was determined that a resident was using some strong-smelling cleaning agents. There was no danger present and the CFD cleared the scene.
