Sunrich in Crookston is looking to hire a Quality Assurance Technician I
Shift: 2:00pm – 10:30pm, M-F
Starting Wage: $22.50/hr
Position Overview
The Quality Assurance Technician I performs day-to-day quality tests to ensure the finished product is within specification by managing the preparation, completion, documentation and communication of all testing required to support all SQF, SOP’s, SSOP’s, HACCP and training Programs and Customer requirements. This role sets an example by following and enforcing all food safety, quality and occupational safety rules established by the company in accordance with state & federal regulations and the SQF Food Safety Code 9.0. Further, this position is responsible for providing and promoting an environment of teamwork, mutual respect, and interdepartmental cooperation. Attendance and personal accountability in this role are critical. This role is critical to the quality performance of our organization.
Essential Functions
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to process samples, perform testing, track test result status and manage positive release communication system.
• Maintain and comply with the Environmental Swab Sample Program.
• Maintain and ensure compliance with checklists for all Quality Assurance/Food Safety, Food Plant Security and Safety and Environmental Programs while assuring timelines are met.
• Assist with audits, issuing reports and coordinating corrective action plans.
Knowledge and Skills
• Effective Communication – Technical competency and fluency using computer programs and systems – Critical Thinking and Problem Solving – Attention to detail – Basic Math Skills – Interpersonal effectiveness – Comprehensive understanding of Sunrich’s GMP Policies and Procedures and all Food and Safety Procedures
Minimum Qualifications
• High School Diploma
• Technical Degree or certification(s) in a related field or 12-months of food safety experience
Preferred Qualifications
• Food Manufacturing Industry experience and knowledge
• 3 to 5 years of experience and knowledge in the food industry, food production and understanding of Food Safety/HACCP, GMP’s, Allergen Control and Sanitation.
