The Primary Election was held on Tuesday, August 11, with polls closing across Minnesota at 8:00 p.m.
One local race of note was the Polk County Board of Commissioners District 2, as Douglas Cariveau, Leonard Vonasek, and Curtis Knutson ran for two spots on the November 3 general election ballot. With 19 of 19 precincts reporting, Knutson and Vonasek will advance on the ballot, with Knutson receiving 48.5% of the vote and Vonasek receiving 32.3% of the vote.
