FRIDAY – JANUARY 27 (UPDATED 11:25 A.M.)
The Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Minnesota State Patrol have lifted the no-travel advisory on several highways in northwest Minnesota. Area highways were under no travel advisory due to drifting snow and low visibility earlier today. Motorists are urged to use caution as highways remain partially covered with reduced visibility.
No travel advisory lifted on highways:
- Highway 2- Crookston to East Grand Forks
- Highway 75- Crookston to Shelly
- Highway 200- Ada to North Dakota border
Motorists should continue to use caution when traveling, especially in open areas with no wind breaks and reduced visibility.
-Due to the current and forecasted weather conditions for Friday, which include high winds, poor visibility, and a winter weather advisory for the Crookston area, ALL Crookston Schools (Washington, Highland, CHS) will be closed on Friday, January 27th. ALL before and after-school activities are canceled or postponed.
–There will not be school at Cathedral today.
-No school at Our Savior’s Lutheran School today, January 27. Lutheran School’s Week activities will be rescheduled.
-Crookston Head Start will be closed today.
-Sacred Heart School (in EGF) closed with no after-school activities.
-East Grand Forks Public Schools and busses will be 2 hours late.
-Tri-County School in Karlstad and busses will be 2 hours late.
-Win-E-Mac School will have an eLearning day today.
-Fertile-Beltrami will have an eLearning day today.
-Fisher School will be eLearning today. After-school activities will be determined before 2 pm.
-Climax-Shelly School will be eLearning today Friday, January 27th. An alert regarding tonight’s games will be made by 2 pm this afternoon.
