MANVEL MAN DIES IN GRAND FORKS ROLLOVER EARLY TUESDAY

UPDATE 3/3/2020 3:07 p.m.

The deceased male in the previously reported crash has been identified as Joel Schram (26 years old) of Manvel, North Dakota.  It does not appear as though Schram was utilizing any of the vehicle’s safety restraints, and it is unknown at this time if alcohol or drugs contributed to the crash.  Schram’s body was sent to the UND Pathology Office for examination, and his family has been notified of his passing. 

ORIGINAL RELEASE

On Tuesday, March 3, at 12:07 a.m., Officers with the Grand Forks Police Department were dispatched to the 2300 block of N. Washington for a report of a single-vehicle rollover crash. Officers responded and found a black pickup truck upside down in the ditch. Officers located a single victim in the vehicle who was pronounced deceased on the scene.

The victim was identified as a 26-year-old male. The victim’s identity is being withheld at this time pending family notifications.

The Grand Forks Police Department was assisted by members of the Northeast Regional UAS (Unmanned Aircraft System) team, the GFPD CART team (Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team), Grand Forks County Sheriff’s Office, Grand Forks Fire Department, and Altru paramedics.
