The Crookston Area Chamber will hold its Chamber Celebration and Awards Night on Saturday, November 16 at the Crookston Inn. It should be a fun-filled night explains Chamber Executive Director Terri Heggie. “The evening starts at 6:00 p.m. with happy hour, dinner at 6:30 p.m.,” said Heggie. “Our awards ceremony is at 7:00 p.m. and then we have live music this year with Kissing Company out of Fargo and they begin at 9:00 p.m. Again, we have wonderful raffle prizes that we are giving away. There are a couple of trips, a private super bowl party, and I think about seven different items we’ll be raffling off. The evening is all about coming together and celebrating and being there to see who are the recipients of our awards.”
The Chamber will give out six awards this year said, Heggie. “We’re giving away Large and Small Business of the Year Award, Entrepreneur of the Year Award, Lifetime Achievement Award, Volunteer of the Year Award, Chamber Champion,” said Heggie. “And then the PIE Award, which is Partners in Education. We are done selling tickets to the award ceremony and banquet. However, Kissing Company has quite a large following in the Crookston area and they pack the dance floor. So, what we are doing, at 10:00 p.m., we’re opening it to the public so they can come to enjoy the music of Kissing Company and celebrate with us for a $10 cover charge.”
Heggie also expressed the Chamber Celebration and Awards Night wouldn’t be possible without the event’s sponsors. “This year our sponsors for the event are Epitome Energy, First Community Credit Union, and Choice Therapy here in Crookston,” said Heggie. “We could not do this and have all the bells and whistles without our sponsors that financially help us out for this event.”
