CROOKSTON POLICE DEPARTMENT TO CLOSE THE LOBBY TO THE PUBLIC – CHIEF BIERMAIER GIVES UPDATE ON SERVICES

In response to the COVID-19 health concerns, the Crookston Police Department public lobby will be closing effective today, Friday, March 20 at 4:30 pm, until further notice.  unfortunately, this includes access to the unused medication dropbox.  The Crookston Police Department’s response to all 911 emergency services will not change, please continue to call 911 for all emergencies.

All non-emergency calls should be directed to 218-281-3111, by emailing police@crookston.mn.us or by visiting the City of Crookston website at www.crookston.mn.us and clicking the Crookston Police Department informational tab.  Crookston Police Officers will be following the Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines to include, but not limited to, social distancing of six feet or more when applicable and we will be limiting face to face contact as much as possible.  Because of this our response times for non-emergency calls may be delayed or may be replaced by telephone conversations with an officer.

All administrative services, such as applications for a permit to purchase a firearm, animal licenses, data requests, etc., should be directed to 218-281-3111, by emailing police@crookston.mn.us or by visiting the City of Crookston website at www.crookston.mn.us and clicking the Crookston Police Department informational tab.  Any paper correspondence can be mailed to the address below, or by dropping it through the mail slot in the front lobby door.

Thank you for your understanding and patience and please continue to follow the CDC’s guidelines for the sake of your health and the health of our officers and their families.
