Crookston Just For Kix dancers competed at the Just For Kix National competition in Rochester on Friday in the hip hop and kick divisions. The first ever trip for Crookston to the National competition turned out to be an excellent trip as Crookston’s Hip Hop team finished first place, making them National Champions! The high kick team finished 10th out of 22 teams. “Going into this we really didn’t even expect anything going into this, we were all for the experience of the competition,” said Coach Grace Espinosa. “It was an absolutely crazy day for them.”
Members of the Hip Hop team are – Amelia Cordova, Amanda Schultz, Kayla Brekken, Caden Sanders-Cole, Rylee Hanson, Simone Wright, Mackenzie Funk, Morgyn Larson, Mady Knutson, Avery Trudeau, Kalea Luckow, Ella Bautista, and Miracle Bernia.
