HAYDEN WINJUM AND GEORGE FRENCH CROWNED CHS HOMECOMING QUEEN AND KING

The Crookston High School held its annual homecoming coronation on Monday afternoon and crowned Hayden Winjum the 2021 homecoming queen.  Winjum also won the Miss Crookston pageant this summer and she is in girls’ tennis, basketball, and track.  George French was crowned homecoming king and he is in soccer, tennis, and active in the drama department.  

The king’s court included – Brooks Butt, George French, Cade Deleon, Justin Lindgren, Blaine Andringa
The queen’s court included – Aleah Bienek, Ava Lopez, Rylee Solheim, Hayden Winjum, Clara Meyer

Winjum took some time to talk about the honor. “It’s a great honor to represent this school,” said Winjum. “When I was crowned it was such a great feeling. The school is so supportive and there are a lot of wonderful people in it so I’m thankful that they see me as a role model.”

French also talked about the honor and wanted to thank a few people for the award. “I’m honored I was chosen,” said French. “I can’t say I was expecting it, but I’m very happy and would like to thank my mom, dad, and anyone who nominated me.”
