The Crookston Pirates and Fosston-Bagley Seals girl’s swimming teams have battled it out a few times over the last couple of weeks and the Pirates finally got the better of them with a 50-44 victory at Fosston-Bagley for the first win of the season.
Madison Hoiland led the way with four first-place finishes. She took the top spot in the 100-yard freestyle and the 100-yard breaststroke and she was also a part of the 200-yard medley relay and the 200-yard freestyle relay teams.
Mackenzie Aamoth was right behind her with three first-place finishes. She took first in the 100-yard breaststroke and also was a part of 200-yard medley relay and 200-yard freestyle relay teams. Mackenzie also took third place in the 200-yard freestyle.
Chloe Boll had two first-place finishes. She took first in the 50-yard freestyle and was part of the relay team in the 200-yard freestyle. Chloe added two second-place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle and in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
Naomi Olson also had two first places in the 200-yard medley relay and also in the 100-yard butterfly. Naomi added two second-place finishes in the 400-yard freestyle relay and in the 500-yard freestyle.
Claire Oman had two first-place finishes on the 200-yard medley relay and 200-yard freestyle relay teams. She also had two second-place finishes in the 100-yard backstroke and the 200 yard IM.
