The United Way of Crookston released a statement concerning the Hugo’s/United Way Golf Tourney. Their statement can be seen below-
The United Way of Crookston regretfully announces the cancellation of the golf tournament scheduled for June 23. A variety of unforeseen circumstances has caused us to make this tough decision. After being gone for the past two years, we wanted to come back bigger and better than ever, and we could not put together the kind of event we wanted. We always want to ensure we are hosting the best events for our cause and for all participants, so we will double our efforts and come roaring back next year. We would like to thank all the sponsors who, when told the tourney was canceled, told us to keep their donations to ensure we make our fundraising goal for the year. From the very bottom of our hearts, we say THANK YOU a million times!
We are planning to have a golf ball drop fundraiser during Ox Cart Days and will make sure to keep you posted. Thank you to our donors, partners, and the community for supporting us and being so understanding! As always, we all do better when we live united!
