The Crookston School District held the first of two nights of its Meet the Teachers Night at the Washington Elementary School, Highland Elementary School, and Crookston High School. Parents and students met with their teachers for the 2022-23 School Year to learn more about their teachers, classes, and for some, school they would be walking through for the next year.
At the Washington Elementary School, students and parents came to meet with teachers at scheduled times they had set up during Back to School Night last week to discuss the students. Then the children got to see and explore a school bus, fire truck, tractor, and Zamboni as part of the Big Wheels Night happening right next to their playground.
Highland Elementary School did much of the same, with students and parents getting to meet their new teachers and see their new classrooms but also partook in the Highland School Supply Drive, where families donated various school supplies for the teachers and students to have for the upcoming year.
The Crookston High School held an orienteering course for all of the new 7th-graders moving into the High School, where they got to meet the many teachers they would be working with for the next year and get a tour by a few volunteers of the school as to where their classes and other important rooms in the High School would be.
