GRAND FORKS POLICE RESPOND TO REPORT OF SHOTS FIRED ON COLUMBIA CT.

Earlier today, at about 8:30 a.m. officers of the Grand Forks Police Dept., were dispatched to shots fired in the area of 137 Columbia Ct. The reporting party said he saw a female in front of this residence fire a handgun.
Upon officers’ arrival, an adult female was taken into custody.
A handgun was recovered at the scene.
The preliminary investigation has shown that no one was injured and several shots were fired causing damage to the house.
An adult female was brought to Altru Hospital and charges are pending.
The Grand Forks Police Dept. was assisted on this call by the Grand Forks Sheriff’s Dept., UND Police Dept., and Altru Ambulance.
