The Crookston Early Childhood Initiative has named Jeannie Lindgren as a Champion for Young Children for the positive impact she has had on young children and their families in our community for many years!
Jeannie provided child care to countless families for 50 years before retiring this fall. One of her former families had this to say about Jeannie: “Caring, compassionate, trustworthy, and reliable are words that come to mind when I think of Jeannie. Prior to her retirement, Jeannie was our childcare provider for 8 years. Every morning she would greet us with a smile, and we never had a doubt that our kids would be in wonderful hands while in her care. She treated our children like her own, and they enjoyed their days at Jeannie’s. Jeannie will always hold a special place in our family’s hearts.”
The Crookston ECI is pleased to recognize these Champions for Young Children Awards to individuals, organizations, and businesses that help to provide a supportive and nurturing environment for our young children, ages birth through five.
