CHS ONE-ACT PLAY WILL HAVE A PUBLIC PERFORMANCE JANUARY 22

Crookston High School will be holding a public performance of its annual One-Act-Play on Monday, January 22, at 7:30 p.m. in the CHS Auditorium. This year’s production is “The Inexplicable Chaos Factor of Mia Gregory.”

In this play, Mia is a friend of the main character (Liv), a math genius. Liv has a hard time understanding social queues and conversations. The story takes you through the friendship of Mia and Liv from kindergarten through their high school years. “There are many interactions in her life that you see very quickly,” said play director Beth Carlson, “There are serious situations that happen, and there is a group of theatre students who play the “variables” and (as we know, variables is a math term) who try and teach her things about what happened, and why it happened.”

Carlson also explained that the play is quite complicated, and there are a lot of moving pieces within the production. Each student who is playing variables will be moving props and boxes in a timely manner. There will be no cost to attend the public performance.
