CHS Welding Project Completed Thanks to American Crystal Sugar

The new grinding booth area has been completed in the welding shop at Crookston High School. We were able to create 6 individual style booths for grinding pads and parts. These booths separate the students to keep them safer from flying sparks and debris from grinding. We were also able to purchase Milwaukee 20v portable grinders to use instead of corded grinders. This helps cut down on cords in the grinding booth area and running across the floor.

All this was made possible with an American Crystal Sugar Community Roots Grant that was awarded in April of 2024. Industrial Tech teacher Travis Oliver wants to thank American Crystal Sugar for providing the grant money to do this project for the students. As you can see, there is a banner thanking American Crystal Sugar hanging in the welding lab.
