Crookston Middle School Mathcounts team advances to state!

Crookston Middle School students competed in the Mathcounts chapter competition held Friday, February 7, in Thief River Falls. The Competition Series has four levels of competition: school, chapter, state, and national. Each level is comprised of four rounds: Sprint, Target, Team, and Countdown Round. There were 52 competitors. The Mathcount competition is for kids in grades 6th through 8th grade.  

Crookston’s team finished first place in the large school competition and overall, earning a trip to the state competition in March!
Individually for Crookston, Grayson Howland finished second place, Eva Gosse was fourth, Ella Capistran was fifth, and Keziah Mason finished sixth place individually!
Also competing for Crookston were – Harrison Cameron, Hamsini Chanda, Anna Heldstab, and Jayden Nguyen.
The team is coached by Andrea Adrian.
