The Northwest Regional Corrections Center reported the arrest of the following

Juanita Marie Neurer, 41, of Crookston, for DUI

Arick Walter Broden, 43, of Erskine, for Domestic Abuse/Violating a No Contact Order

Angel Ethan Vivanco, 29, of Crookston, for Public Nuisance

Jose Miguel Diaz-Mendez, 31, of Twin Valley, for Criminal Sexual Conduct

The Crookston Fire Department (CFD) responded to the following calls on 2/12/2025:

At 9:30 a.m., CFD responded to the 100 block of East 3rd St. for a waterfall alarm. Crews investigated the building, but there was no water or active sprinkler. The alarm was deemed false, and crews cleared the scene.

At 2:00 p.m., CFD responded to the 200 block of 7th Ave. South after a homeowner reported an active detector. Crews went to the residence and found two out of date detectors. Crews then conducted a smoke detector survey, replaced faulty detectors and cleared the scene.

Around 5:00 p.m., CFD responded to a two vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 2 and 290th St. SW. The two vehicles were in the median when crews arrived. CFD assisted with towing vehicles, clearing debris, and traffic control. The cause of the crash is still unknown. No injuries were reported, and nobody was transported to the hospital.

Around 8:00 p.m., CFD responded to the 2900 block of University Ave. after multiple alarm activations. Crews found a cooking accident upon arrival, and determined burnt food set off the alarms. The building was ventilated, and alarms were reset before Crews cleared the scene.
