MAYOR’S COURTYARD GETTING DRINKING FOUNTAIN, BENCH, BIKE REPAIR STATION

City of Crookston crews were working Tuesday on the Mayor’s Courtyard at the corner of Main and Robert streets Tuesday.  They will be installing a new drinking fountain, a bench donated by the Crookston Rotary, and a bike repair station installed by Bike Crookston explains Public Works Director Pat Kelly. “I’ve got a crew over on the corner of Main and Robert,” said Kelly.  “Bike Crookston and the Rotary are both involved in this.  Where we took out the fountain we’re going to put a concrete slab in, there is going to be a drinking fountain installed and a Rotary bench. And then Bike Crookston is going to install a bike repair station.”

The project shouldn’t take to long to complete. As depending on weather, Kelly hopes to pour the slab later this week.  “We have to look at the drinking fountain to see exactly how we have to plumb that in and the drainage,” said Kelly.  “Hopefully, later this week, we’ll pour the slab.”
