An early morning fire causes damage to an unattached garage at 1309 Cottonwood Street.
On Thursday, June 20 at approximately 12:45 a.m., 18 firefighters responded to a reported garage heavily involved in fire. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a single stall unattached garage with fire showing on the front side of the structure around garage door opening and roof. Firefighters were able to quickly bring fire under control and extinguished. The structure sustained approximately $20,000 in damage.
There were no reported injuries to firefighters or home occupants. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
Grand Forks Police Department and Altru Ambulance were also on scene assisting.
