Lauren Tull of Crookston won the USTA Grand Forks Youth tennis 14 and under tournament this weekend.
In the first round, Tull beat Lola Bina of East Grand Forks 6-4, 6-4.
In the second round, she beat Isabel Seeley of Harace, ND 6-0, 6-0.
In the third round, Tull beat Peyton Eastman of Grand Forks 6-4, 6-0.
RYLIN PETRY
Fertile-Beltrami School alum and North Dakota State golfer Rylin Petry won the Red River Amateur Golf Tournament this weekend with a three-round total of 203, 10 under par at the Moorhead Country Club. He won the tournament by four strokes over Parker Edens (head golf coach at South Dakota State).
Petry shot a tournament record 64 on Saturday with a 15-foot birdie putt. Petry takes home the $500 cash prize for winning the tournament.
