Miguel Antonio Shockman – OBIT

Miguel Antonio Shockman, 49, of Crookston, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly on November 14, 2025, in his home.
Miguel was born in Aitkin, Minnesota, on September 24, 1976, to Jeanette Saccone-Selinger and Steven Shockman. He built a fulfilling life grounded in dedication, hard work, and a deep love for his family. A talented Journeyman Electrician, Miguel began a new chapter in his career in May 2022, when he joined Warrior Energy as the Director of Operations, a role he approached with pride and commitment.

On October 9, 2004, he married the love of his life, Jessica, and together they created a home filled with laughter, music, and unwavering support for one another. Miguel had many passions, but music was at the heart of who he was. He loved playing guitar, exploring the meaning behind lyrics, and listening to his favorite band, Coldplay. He enjoyed shooting hoops—forever a Michael Jordan fan—and cheering on his football hero, Tom Brady, while also immersing himself in fantasy football, taking pride in managing his teams each season. Time spent at the lake with his family, ice fishing, and simply being together brought him the greatest joy. His sense of humor was uniquely his own—he could find something funny in the simplest things, and you couldn’t help but laugh with him…or at him. He called just about everyone ‘Boss’ or ‘Bossman’, a nickname that became one of his most endearing trademarks.

Miguel is survived by his devoted wife, Jessica; his children Tristan (30), Ashton (19), Evan (17), and Monroe (11); his parents Jeanette Saccone-Selinger and Steven Shockman; his brothers JJ Shockman (Grace) and Michael Shefts; his sister Yvette Crawford (Andra); and his beloved nieces and nephews Damien, Jacob, Kristina, Chance, and Jaxyn. He is preceded in death by his stepmother, Lizabeth Shockman (2013), and his maternal grandmother, Aurea Saccone (2025).

A memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Crookston, MN on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Family greeting will take place prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Miguel’s life.

Miguel’s presence will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to share in his kindness and warmth. His legacy lives on in the love he gave, the lessons he shared, and the family he adored.
