University of Minnesota Crookston women’s basketball player Emma Miller (Sr., G, Albertville, Minn.) was named the NSIC North Division Player of the Week.
Miller scored 26 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and dished out three assists in a 75-68 win over Black Hills State University in Crookston on Wednesday. Miller set the Golden Eagle Women’s Basketball program record for points in a career, surpassing Jamie Zelinsky’s mark, which was set in 2011, and now has 1,740 career points.
Miller, the preseason NSIC North Player of the Year pick, is averaging 25.3 points, seven rebounds, and five assists per game so far this season, through three games. She is shooting 41.3 percent from the field and 35.0 percent from three-point range.
Miller has 1,275 conference points, ranking her 10th all-time. The record currently stands at 1,615 from Brooke Olson of the University of Minnesota Duluth.
This is the third player of the week honor for Miller.
