Alice E. Fetting – Obit

Alice E. Fetting, 96, Ada, MN, died Thursday, August 8, 2019, at Benedictine Care Community, in Ada.

Alice was born July 16, 1923 to Elias & Christina (Aamodt) Aanenson, in Hegne Township, Norman County.

Alice and Earl Fetting were married December 1st 1949 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Pleasant View Township, Norman County. Earl and Alice made their home in Ada, MN where they raised their four children. Earl died December 22nd, 1999. Alice continued to live in Ada and moved to Benedictine Care Community in May of 2014.

Alice enjoyed spending her time in her kitchen baking and spending time outside in her flower gardens. She also enjoyed quilting both at home and with the ladies at Grace Lutheran Church in Ada. Alice was always up for a game of Skip-Bo with her family and friends. She truly loved her children and grandchildren and she had a special place in her heart for all of them.

Alice is survived by her four children: Susan Bennett, East Grand Forks, MN, Larry (Sharon) Fetting New Brighton, MN, Loel (Deb) Fetting Hawley, MN, Nathan (Joy) Fetting Detroit Lakes, MN: grandchildren: Christina (Seth) Merkens, Amy Bennett (Ryan Krutzig), Michael Fetting, Emma (Oge) Edward, Jennifer (Max Washnieski) Fetting, Brian Fetting, Steven Fetting; great grandchildren: Carson, Luca & Hunter Merkens; two sisters: Doris Alexander, Ada, MN, Dorothy Stuhaug, Twin Valley, MN, one brother: Milo (Eleanor) Aanenson Fertile, MN, one sister-in-law: Orpha Aanenson Gary, MN, and several nieces and nephews that were special to her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Fetting, brothers: Sidney Aanenson

Lester Aanenson, sisters: Sadie Patzack, Ethel Olson, Lila Peterson

Memorials preferred to Lockhart Pleasant View Cemetery and Hospice of the Red River Valley

Funeral: 2:00PM, Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at Fredrikson-Ganje Funeral Home in Ada. 

Visitation: Tuesday from 12:00PM to 2:00PM at the funeral home.

Burial: Lockhart Pleasant View Cemetery, rural Ada, MN.
