The Crookston Rotary Club announced the Crookston High School Rotary Students of the Month for January and February. Taylor Wieland was named the January Student of the Month, and Zachariah Plante was named the February Student of the Month. Information about the two are below.
STUDENT OF THE MONTH FOR JANUARY – Taylor Wieland
Family Members:

Activities involved in or Volunteer projects: Leo Club, Student Council, National Honor Society, FFA
Sports/Fine Arts: Girls Tennis, girls Golf, Girls Basketball Manager
Hobbies: Being at the lake, hunting/fishing, hanging out with friends and family, watching and playing sports, shopping, baking, and traveling whenever I get the chance.
Plans after I graduate: Attend NDSU and major in Respiratory Therapy, then minor in Nutrition Science.
FEBRUARY STUDENT OF THE MONTH – Zachariah Plante

Activities involved in or volunteer projects: Camp RYLA, Leo Club (3 letters), National Honor Society, Jr. High Play Co-director (3 years), Scooters Employee (1 year), Club kid employee (1 year)
Sports/Fine Arts: Orchestra (3 letters), Theater (Assistant director 2 years, 3 letters), Speech (3 letters, 2 time state participant), High school Team Dance Manager, Soccer (9th and 10th grade)
Hobbies: Being with friends and family, Video editing, and driving
Plans After Graduation: I plan to go to the University of North Dakota to major in either secondary education or social media marketing, and minor in psychology. After that I’d either like to become a high school English teacher or a digital marketing manager.
