The Crookston Police Department was called to two accidents on Wednesday, January 21.
ACCIDENT 1 – at 2:14 p.m. on South Front Street and 3rd Street Southwest
A 2011 GMC Sierra, driven by Kenneth Johnson of Crookston, and a 1998 Buick LeSabre, driven by Christopher Delisle of East Grand Forks, were involved in the accident.
Delisle was westbound on 3rd Ave SW when Johnson entered the intersection and collided with Delisle. Johnson was cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way.
ACCIDENT 2 – 4:17 p.m. on West Robert Street and North Main Street.
A 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix, driven by Timothy Coburn, of Crookston, and a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Gabriel Horgeshimer, of Crookston, were involved in the accident. Horgeshimer was eastbound on Robert Street when Coburn was going southbound on North Main Street and ran the red light and collided with Horgeshimer. There was heavy damage to both vehicles. EMS and the Crookston Fire Department arrived to assess for injuries and clean debris. Both vehicles were towed. Coburn was cited for Failure to Stop for a Traffic Control Signal.
