The Crookston Girls 12U hockey team finished in second place in the Virginia tournament over the past weekend.
Crookston started the tournament with a 4-2 victory over Chaska on Friday. On Saturday, they beat West St. Paul and Rock Ridge by identical 5-2 scores. In the Championship, they lost to Wayzata 5-1 on Sunday.
Members of the team are Bailee Murphy, Calianna Donarski, Charlee Coauette, Clara Vigness, Evelyn Gasper, Hadley Solberg, Harper Hann, Isabelle Helgeson, Kaleigh Longoria, Leah Biermaier, Mara Biermaier, and Ruby Martin.
The team is coached by Jake Solberg, Joel Gasper, and Pete Vigness.
