Crookston Rotary honors Crookston High School and UMC students

The Crookston Rotary Club has announced the Crookston High School and University of Minnesota Crookston students of the month and semester.

UMC Student of  the Semester – Math -Science and Technology -Chase Nelson
November 2025 Crookston High School Student of the Month – Halle Nicholas
December 2025 Crookston High School Student of the  Month – Hayley Leckie

HAYLEY LECKIE
Family – Parents – Scott and Erika Leckie

Volunteer projects – Leo Club- Home-delivered meals, Highland teacher helper, treats for the Summit
Sports/Fine arts – CHS Dance Team, Just for Kix dance teams, One-Act play, Three-act play, Band, Orchestra
Hobbies – Coaching dance, playing instruments, photography, and practicing silent language
Plans after graduation – Attend Texas Tech University, major in Criminology

Activities – Student representative for the Crookston School District school board, Student representative for the Polk County Public Health Youth Advisory Board, Student Council President, member of the LEO Club, attended Girls State  for American Legion Auxiliary Girls State, participated in Veterans Day Service for Crookston, a page in the MN House of  Representatives, member of Trinity Lutheran Church, work part-time at Minakwa Golf Course.
Hobbies – play basketball and golf
Plans after graduation –  Plan to attend UND to major in business and possible minor in accounting
