The Northwest Regional Corrections Center in Crookston reported the arrest of the following –
Jennie Gutierrez, 42 of Grand Forks, for fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle.
Daniel Paul Slyt, 45 of East Grand Forks, for not carrying proof of insurance when operating a vehicle.
Ryan Daniel Melby, 20 of Beltrami, for obstructing the legal process – interfering with a peace officer.
Crookston Fire Calls
Fire Report
On Friday, March 20th, at 10:01 p.m., the Crookston Fire Department responded to a call about a burning smell in the basement. on the 200th block of Washington Avenue. On scene, they used a thermal imaging camera and found no issue, so they did a smoke survey before turning it over to the homeowners.
On Monday, March 23rd, at 4:03 a.m., the Crookston Fire Department responded to an alarm activation on the 700th block of Summit Avenue. On scene, they were met by staff, who investigated and, unable to find a cause for the alarm, believed it to be a false alarm.
