Washington School celebrated its end-of-the-year Family Picnic on Monday! School staff say they were thrilled to see such a wonderful turnout from our School Readiness and Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) families. Teachers truly enjoyed watching parents connect, children play with friends, and families build meaningful relationships through events like this.
Families enjoyed a supper of hot dogs, chips, pickles, and cookies, while children participated in a variety of outdoor activities, including painting the school, sidewalk chalk, an obstacle course, and time on the playground. With the help of families, teachers also created themed raffle baskets from each classroom.
In addition, the school was especially grateful to the Crookston Firefighters Association for generously donating two bicycles for giveaways during the event.
School staff said it has been a wonderful school year with our Washington School families, and they are thankful for all of the support, connections, and memories made throughout the year.
