Travel through time with reading at your library this summer! Lake Agassiz Regional Library is bringing a time travel-themed Summer Reading Program to youth and teens in communities in Becker, Clay, Clearwater, Mahnomen, Norman, Polk, and Wilkin counties. Beginning June 1, participants can read to win prizes and attend educational and entertaining programs at their local library or a library LINK Site.
Those interested in participating are encouraged to stop by their local library or LINK Site to pick up a reading log beginning June 1. Information about the program and event lists are available at larl.org/explore.
The program will be offered from June 1 to July 31 at libraries and LINK Sites in the following communities: Ada, Bagley, Barnesville, Breckenridge, Climax, Crookston, Detroit Lakes, Fertile, Fosston, Hawley, Mahnomen, McIntosh, and Moorhead. LARL’s LINK sites are found in Cormorant, Frazee, Gonvick, Halstad, Hendrum, Lake Park, Rothsay, Twin Valley, and Ulen. A number of engaging programs will be held in connection with the reading challenge, including performances by dance parties with Conductor Jack, an award-winning children’s educator, YouTuber, and entertainer, as well as up-close experiences with a real printing press, stops by Prairie Public’s Learning Express Trailer, and much more. All programs are offered free of charge. More information is available at larl.org and a full list of programs, dates, and times can be found at larl.org/explore.
