The City of Crookston is reminding residents that parking on the eastern side of Barrette Street, from Central Avenue to Summit Avenue, is not permitted. That portion of the street was turned into a bike lane earlier this month as part of the city’s Active Transportation Demonstration Project.
They understand that this bike lane is a brand-new addition, and parking there used to be normal. However, with this new bike lane, blocking this space forces cyclists out into traffic.
