Care Providers of Minnesota recently endorsed Representative Steve Gander for election to the Minnesota House of Representatives in District 1B. Rep. Gander’s support for and interest in long-term care for the growing senior demographic were the primary reasons he earned the CARE-PAC endorsement.
Representative Steve Gander understands Minnesota’s long-term care issues, including the need to expand the workforce of long-term care-giving professionals and Minnesota seniors’ personal financing challenges to securing services and support.
According to Toby Pearson, President and CEO of Care Providers of Minnesota, “Representative Gander has taken leadership and demonstrated commitment to long- term care issues by being open and available to meet at nursing and assisted living settings.”
Pearson cited a growing demand for accessible, high-quality long-term care for the 60,000 Minnesotans turning 65 each year over the next 15 years.
Representative Gander has been identified by Pearson as one who continues to advocate for seniors, caregivers, and providers within the Minnesota House of Representatives.
