The Crookston School Board will meet on Monday, July 27, at 5:00 p.m. in the Crookston High School choir/orchestra room.
The consent agenda includes the approval of the June 22 regular meeting minutes. The board will also be asked to approve the current bills totaling $1,053,551.24 and the following personnel items –
The board will be asked to approve the resignation of Ann Brekken as an elementary teacher at Highland, Elizabeth Erickson as a kindergarten teacher at Highland, Brittany Weber as a paraprofessional, Brandon Neibauer-Adams as an English teacher at the high school, and Kristine Dickson as a music teacher at Highland.
The board will be asked to accept retirement letters from Chris Trostad as principal of Highland and Kristine Stegman as an elementary teacher at Highland.
The board will be asked to approve employment agreements with Theresa Brule-Haggerty as a part-time lunch supervisor at Highland, Haley Davidson as a kindergarten teacher at Highland, Amber Sannes as a Title I Teacher at Highland, Katy Ramey as an elementary teacher (2) at Highland, Heather Belgarde as an elementary teacher (4) at Highland, Kristina Bouffleur as a paraprofessional, Mya Bower as a paraprofessional, May Cuno as a paraprofessional, Hunter Fleener as a paraprofessional, and Karley Pearson as a paraprofessional.
The board will be asked to accept the fall coaches’ list.
The board will be asked to accept $2,415.64 in donations, including $1,000 from the Crookston Eagles Auxiliary #873 for the FFA program, $577.92 from the Crookston Pirate Boosters for football field equipment, and $837.72 from the Crookston Pirate Boosters for football equipment.
The main agenda includes the approval of employment for Dave Kuehn and Greg Garmen as co-principals of Highland Elementary School, approval of Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) applications for cooperative sponsorship with Riverside Christian School for boys soccer, girls soccer, boys tennis, and girls tennis, approval of a MSHSL resolution for membership for the 2026-27 school year, approval of a resolution adopting the school district fiscal year 2028 long-term facilities maintenance plan (LTFM), approval of the reinstatement of Kiely Tate as a preschool teacher, approval of the following policy updates as recommended by the Minnesota School Board Association (MSBA): development & implementation of policies, disability nondiscrimination policy, employee-student relationships, school resource officers, enrollment of nonresident students, student disability nondiscrimination, internet, technology, & cell phone use policy, graduation standards, literacy & the READ Act, student transportation safety policy, procurement policy, and public data & data subject requests, and approval of adult and a la carte lunch prices for the 2026-27 school year.
There will be reports from the administration and superintendent following the main agenda.
