GIRLS 360˚ GROUP ADDRESSES TOPICS RELEVANT TO TEEN GIRLS IN GREATER GRAND FORKS

Girls who struggle with low self-esteem or confidence can learn positive life skills through Girls 360˚ Group, hosted by The Village Family Service Center of Grand Forks. The next session of this seven-week group begins Monday, Nov. 4, at Polk County Social Services, 1424 Central Ave NW, East Grand Forks.

Girls 360˚ Group educates 13- to 17-year-old girls on a full spectrum (360 degrees) of topics relevant to a teenage girl’s life, such as healthy and unhealthy relationships, assertiveness, body image, good decision-making and self-care. Village mental health providers facilitate the group. Women who are leaders in the community serve as guest speakers each week. Other activities include crafts and therapy videos.

This session of Girls 360˚ Group will meet from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. Mondays, Nov. 4 through Dec. 16. The group is free to attend, thanks to funding from the Northwest Minnesota Women’s Foundation.

Space is limited. To register, call The Village at (701) 746-4584.
