POLICE DEPARTMENT, LEO CLUB PREP ARMORY FOR HALLOWEEN PARTY ON SATURDAY

The Crookston Police Department and members of the Crookston High School Leo Club are spending Thursday and Friday afternoon prepping the Crookston National Guard Armory for the 32nd Annual Halloween Party.  Lieutenant Darin Selzler said setup takes two days, and this year’s party will be on Saturday, October 26.  “Today is the first day of setup,” said Selzler.  “We probably have a dozen of the Leo Club kids here to help.  Thursday is usually the setup of the Spook House and getting everything organized.  And then Friday we have the game kids come in.  That’s usually the freshman and sophomores getting the games set up and we usually try to get up 8-10 games.  We’re pretty excited again this year for the 32nd Annual Halloween Party.  We’re hosting Saturday this year instead of Sunday because of a lot of the activities in town.  We’re hosting that the 26th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.”

Selzler said there will be games, a squad car and asked that attendees bring a canned food item for the Leo Club Food Drive.  “Outside of the Spook House, we’ll have some games,” said Selzler.  “We’ll have a squad car on display where the kids can jump in there and check that out.  We’ll have a lot of the Crookston Police Officers.  The event is free, we ask that you bring a canned food item for the Leo Club Annual Food Drive.  Available to the kids also we’ll have popcorn, a juice drink and hotdogs free of charge.  We’re excited, it’s going to be a fun event.  The main goal is to provide a safe indoor environment for all the kids.”
