A SHOP FIRE WAS REPORTED IN RURAL MENTOR WEDNESDAY EVENING

On Wednesday, April 14 at approximately 7:53 p.m., the Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded to a fire in a detached shop at 31452 160TH Avenue SE in rural Mentor. Deputies arrived and found the fire had been extinguished by fire departments already on scene. No injuries were reported at this time.  Damage was localized to the rear of the shop where a chicken coop was located. No further information will be released at this time.
