The Northwest Regional Corrections Center in Crookston reported the arrest of the following –
Kenrick Louis Norman, 56 of Crookston, for assault-third degree.
Jake Isaiah Cariveau, 35 of East Grand Forks, for domestic assault with intent to inflict bodily harm.

On Thursday, May 7th , at 11:40 a.m., the Crookston Fire Department responded to a report of a corn stalk fire from Crookston township section 13. On the scene, the fire was on the edge of the field. They extinguished the remaining fire before clearing the scene.
On Thursday, May 7th, the Crookston Fire Department responded to a small grass fire near the riverbank on 400th S Ash. On the scene, they found a small patch actively burning. They got it extinguished and cleared the scene.
