Crookston School Board to meet on Monday, January 6

The Crookston Schol Board will have a special meeting on Monday, January 6, at 5:00 p.m. in the Crookston High School Choir and Orchestra room.  The meeting will start with the swearing-in of board members Mike Theis, Jaclyn Martin, and Lori Capistran. Pirate Boys Basketball plays a solid all-around game to beat Wadena-Deer Creek

The Crookston Pirate Boys’ Basketball team played a solid all-around game and pulled away to beat the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines 77-49 in a Section 8AA matchup at the Crookston High School gymnasium. FIRST HALF –Wadena-Deer Creek (WDC) jumped out to an 8-2 lead to start the game, with Kobe Snyder scoring all eight Wolverine points.

Fosston Police respond to 11-year old with a weapon at school

On Thursday, January 2, 2025, the Fosston Police Department responded to the report of a weapon at the Fosston Elementary School. A weapon was located and seized, and an 11-year-old male suspect was detained. The incident is under investigation and no other information is being released at this time.
