The Crookston/Fosston/Bagley Seal Swim team lost to the Perham Yellowjackets 58-36 in a dual held in Fosston. Crookston’s Chloe Boll came away with four first-place finishes. Boll, once again won the 50 Freestyle by over one minute and finished second place in the 100 Freestyle while getting edged by 21 hundreths of a second. Chloe
KROX collected the enrollment numbers for the Crookston Public School District, Cathedral Elementary School, and Our Savior’s Lutheran School for the first week of school at each building for 2023. The Crookston Pirate Volleyball team ran into the always-tough Sacred Heart Eagles and were swept 3-0 (25-11, 25-9, 25-12) in a match that took less than an hour to complete in East Grand Forks. FIRST SET Sacred Heart came out strong and took a 6-1 lead behind two Reese Chwialkowski kills and Rylee Chwialkowski ace.
The Crookston Pirate Girl’s Tennis team won all three doubles matches, but the East Grand Forks Green Wave won all four singles matches for a 4-3 victory in a dual played in East Grand Forks. It was the first time since 2019 that the Green Wave beat the Pirates in girl’s tennis. CROOKSTON VS EAST
