Beverly A. Jacobson, 89, Ada, MN formerly of Perley, MN, died Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at the Benedictine Care Community in Ada, MN.
Beverly Ann Hoff was born June 6, 1930 in Fergus Falls, MN. Her parents were Arthur and Clara (Enquist) Hoff. Bev attended school in Fergus Falls graduating in 1950. After graduation, Bev moved to Seattle, WA, where she worked at the Bon Marche Department Store while staying with family. Bev returned to the area in 1953 working for the City of Moorhead and Northwestern Federal Savings and Loan.
Bev was united in marriage to Clayton Jacobson on January 23, 1960 in Fergus Falls, MN. They made their home in Perley, MN where she worked as a bookkeeper at the grain elevator and the Cenex station, from which she retired. Bev was active in the community, the Kirkebo Lutheran Church, and enjoyed bible study, Homemaker’s Club and the Red Hat Ladies. Bev loved to laugh, spend time with her family, spoil her grandchildren, and was a wonderful cook.
Beverly leaves behind two daughters Karen (Roger) Egeberg, Argusville, ND, and Rene (Don) Miller, Ada, MN. Four grandchildren, Laura Egeberg (Brandon Vizenor), Danielle Miller (Brady Holte), Rachel (Zach) Lee, and Brian (Brandy) Miller, and one cherished great-grandson, Waylon Lee, and another great-grandson on the way. Beverly is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Memorials preferred to: Benedictine Care Community, Ada, MN and Hospice of the Red River Valley.
Funeral: 11:00AM Monday, June 17, 2019, at Kirkebo Lutheran Church, Perley, MN.
Visitation: Monday for one hour before the funeral at the church.
Burial: Kirkebo Lutheran Cemetery, rural Perley.
