The Crookston Pirate Track teams had Makoti Weber and Chloe Boll competing in the State Class A Track and Field meet at St. Michael-Albertville High School.
CHLOE BOLL-
There were 17 girls competing in the pole vault and the starting height was 8 feet. Chloe cleared the opening height on her first vault. She cleared 8-6 on her first try. The next height was 9 feet and she cleared it on the second attempt. At 9-6, Chloe missed all three attempts and finished tied for 11th place to wrap up her Pirate career. Chloe will play basketball at the University of Minnesota Crookston next year.
MAKOTI WEBER-
There were 27 competing in the pole vault, with 11 qualifying via state qualifying vaults. The opening height was a challenging 11 feet. Makoti’s career best was 12’10. Makoti missed on all three attempts at 11 feet and was one of four who missed on the opening height. Makoti’s Pirate career came to an end.
