Carol J. Radi, age 95, went to be with Jesus on July 16, 2026, in Crookston, Minnesota at around 4:00pm. Carol was born in Crookston on May 31, 1931 to mother Lila Peterson and adopted by father Art Lund. Carol had four brothers and four sisters and was the oldest child in her family.
She was called Carol Jean by many, and worked at the Barrel as a teenager, a restaurant in Crookston. Carol married Donald Sheridan in 1950 and had three children; Thomas Duane Sheridan born August 22, 1953, James Alan Sheridan born June 10, 1957, and Pamela Jean Sheridan born September 25, 1961.
Carol married Ray Radi in 1973. They were married for 22 years before Ray’s passing in 1995.
Carol worked many jobs in Crookston; at the Northland Inn in the laundry department and answered the phone at the Care and Share and the Villa St. Vincent Nursing Home. Her favorite job was at the animal shelter, where she worked at the thrift store. She was also a senior companion, where she looked forward to bringing people to RBJ’s where they enjoyed coffee and pie. Her most treasured role was being a mother, she was always concerned with her children and loved them dearly.
Carol enjoyed having animals around the house. She had a dog named Rex and two cats named Charlie and MaMa.
Carol is survived by her three children, eight grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.
A memorial service honoring Carol’s life will be held at Freedom Church in Crookston, Minnesota on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation with family will be one-hour prior to the service, at 10:00 a.m. The service will be livestreamed, a link to which will be available at www.stenshoelhouske.com/obituaries/carol-radi
