The Northwest Minnesota Arts Council (NWMAC) sponsors an annual Traveling Art Exhibit, which visits northwest Minnesota communities throughout the year. The exhibit includes 10 original pieces of art by regional artists, chosen from works submitted for our annual juried exhibit. On Thursday, students at Our Savior’s Lutheran School attended the Beyond the Yellow Ribbon program at the Crookston Public Library. The program’s mission is to increase community awareness of local military families and encourage community members to be good neighbors. A key aspect of the program is the Missing Man Table, which honors military children.

Fire Calls: At 5:27 Wednesday evening, the Crookston Fire Department was called to the intersection of 230th Street and 250th Avenue in rural Crookston for a grass fire. They extinguished the fire and returned to base, the cause was undetermined.
