The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception is holding its monthly Community Meal on Wednesday, May 11, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Cathedral Church Dining Room. As a result of the recent precipitation the Crookston area has received over the last couple of days, the Red Lake River level at Crookston is currently (2:30 p.m. on May 10) at 20.62 feet and is expected to rise slowly. The Crookston Just For Kix Program recently competed at the Together We Dance Nationals Competition in Rochester, Minnesota. The event was held at the Mayo Civic Center on May 5th – 8th. Teams from seven States (CO, IA, IL, MN, ND, NE, SD) traveled to compete over the weekend with their team and individual routines.
Grand Forks Road Crews will be closing Stanford Road right at the intersection with University Ave. on Thursday, May 12, to allow crews to install equipment on the University of North Dakota housing structure under construction at that corner. The closure will begin at 8:30 a.m. and be complete by 4:30 p.m. later that day.
