As of 8:00 pm, the Red Lake River level was at 26.92 feet. Sandbagging and clay dike operations have been or will be complete in vulnerable low-lying affected areas. Sandbagging volunteers and efforts are being suspended. Volunteers will continue to monitor levees and the City of Crookston Emergency Operation Center will continue to constantly monitor
Ampride Convenience Mart will give anybody that is sandbagging or walking the dikes a free coffee, hot chocolate, or tea as a thank you for volunteering to help the community. Stop by Amrpide before or after voluntering.
The Red Lake River water levels continue to slowly rise which has created additional vulnerable locations. To assist with monitoring the river levees and with sandbagging efforts, the City of Crookston requested aid from the Minnesota National Guard.
