The Crookston High School seventh-graders held a food drive competition in their primetime classrooms last week for Kindness Week. The students brought in over 450 non-perishable food items that will be brought to the Care and Share in Crookston. The winning primetime was Ms. Ryan/Ms. Samuelson’s primetime bringing in 174 items.

The Crookston City Council had a special meeting Monday night to making appointments to the city’s Charter Commission and Library Board. The Crookston Rotary Club recently presented a donation to The Cove youth center after receiving a district grant for $5,000 that was matched by a major local donor. The Cove will be using the money to create a recording studio that will allow youth the ability to enhance their creativity by recording and producing music
The Crookston City Council will have a special meeting on Monday night at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. The agenda has two resolutions. The first is to appoint members to the Crookston Charter Commission. The second is to appoint a member to the Library Board.
