CHS COMMUNITY PROJECTS CLASS TAKES A CLASS TRIP TO DEE INC. IN CROOKSTON

On Wednesday, May 18, the Crookston High School Community Projects Class visited DEE Inc. in Crookston as part of a class trip. Students from multiple classes took part in the trip as most students did not know what DEE in Crookston made.

The class was greeted graciously by management and given a tour of both the Foundry on the west side of the road and the machine shop on the east side. The tour included seeing molten aluminum poured into sand casts, the parts being cleaned up, and machines to customer specifications. DEE does projects for all sorts of companies in many different areas of industry, and Community Projects Teacher Travis Oliver believed it was a worthwhile tour and hoped that the students took something away from the visit. DEE also told the students that they were hiring and that an expansion was in the works. Travis Oliver would like to thank DEE Inc. for letting them come out to see the facility and taking the students on the tour.
