CROOKSTON CITY COUNCIL, WAYS & MEANS COMMITTEE TO MEET MONDAY

The Crookston City Council will meet Monday, April 27 at 7:00 p.m. in the council chambers at city hall.  Seating will be limited due to social distancing guidelines, so those wishing to participate in the public forum may call in at 281-4515.  You can also listen online on the City of Crookston website.

The meeting will begin with a mayoral proclamation declaring the month of May as National Oncology Month.  All other items for the meeting are included in the consent agenda.  Those include approving past meeting minutes, approving bills and disbursements totaling $378,440.72, accepting a bid for surplus brass, accepting a donation for Kids First, and approving the plans and specifications for 2020 street improvements with a call for bids.  Also included on the consent agenda is extending the local emergency, a transfer of entitlement funds, authorizing an e-signature for the FAA grant for the airport master plan, approving the employment agreement with the Crookston Professional Firefighters Local #3394 and approving a conditional use permit for oversized signage at the new RiverView Hospital.

The Ways & Means Committee will meet immediately following the City Council meeting.  The agenda includes reviewing updates to the Epitome Energy Land Option Agreement for the Colborn Property south of Titan Machinery. Included in the update for the first time will be the legal description of the property prepared by Widseth Smith Nolting.  The committee will also review a modified calendar for the City Administrator Search that was put on hold during the April 13 meeting.  The new calendar proposes attempting a second month-long recruitment period beginning May 28, with the interviews of the finalists in Crookston scheduled for August 12-13.
